Trauma-Informed Care Approach –

Our team is trained in Trauma-Informed Care
(TIC) which recognizes the widespread impact of traumatic and overwhelming experiences. These incidences can negatively impact people’s ability to lead and work collaboratively with others. Our team implements trauma-informed approaches in every interaction with clients to help build trust and understanding. This approach creates a framework of wellness that produces improved outcomes and productivity.

Diversity Training –

Our team nurtures a culture of appreciation and respect for all individuals. We embrace and encourage our team members’ differences in age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make
our employees unique. Diverse perspectives, experiences, and self-expressions contribute to the inclusive environment we are committed to having for our team and clients.

Culture, Gender and Strategic Communications –

Marisol Barrios, principal partner of Mission Driven PR, serves as an adjunct lecturer at California State University, Dominguez Hills. In this capacity she teaches a Culture, Gender and Strategic Communications course to improve students’ understanding of cultural differences and assumptions, including gender, in the context of strategic communication. An overview of major communication theories, strategies, methods, and practices in advertising and public relations campaigns are covered. Students develop advertising skills and public relations messages based on cultural aspects in strategic communication.
